INVOLVING CHILDREN IN COMMUNITY PROJECTS: Making Dog Treats for Cedar Rapids AniMeals

Standard

HOMEMADE DOG TREATS
During one of the summer months, I saw a post on Facebook from Cedar Rapids AniMeals (http://cranimeals.org/) that they needed donations of pet treats and pet toys. This gave me the idea to have the kids get in the kitchen. We made 3 different types of dog treats (one was a store bought mix-just in case ours didn’t turn out…the other two recipes I posted below). When we were done, the kids tested the finished product out on Vega (one of my own dogs) and they seemed to be a success:)
